Britons looking for a new cultural experience might want to head to Morocco.
Morocco could be the perfect destination for Britons seeking a new cultural experience.
According to Wanderlust magazine deputy editor Sarah Baxter, the north African country may be ideal for those looking for more than just a standard beach break.
"In just three hours you can be nose-deep in culture shock - surrounded by bustling souks, muezzin-sounding mosques and wonderful Arabic architecture," she explained.
Britons looking for adventure should consider hiking in the mountains located just outside Marrakesh, as well as surfing on the Atlantic coast and white water rafting, Ms Baxter recommended. Other top attractions include the medieval city of Fez and the coastal resort of Essaouira. Some Britons looking to book flights and travel insurance for a trip to Morocco may have been inspired by the BBC show Tropic Of Cancer.
Gap Adventures recently revealed it had seen sales of breaks to Morocco and Egypt soar by 200 per cent this year and attributed part of the increase to the travel programme. Holiday Insurance from Direct Travel Insurance can cover a trip to Africa or other long-haul destinations all for a low price.
